The FCC defines Audio Description (AD) as, “the insertion of audio narrated descriptions of a television program’s key visual elements into natural pauses between the program’s dialogue.”
AD brings access of all visual media to people on the blindness spectrum, as well as those wanting to experience screen-less entertainment. From the art, entertainment, and storytelling of Film & TV to award shows, museum pieces, news segments, corporate videos, commercials and more, AD is one of the most wide ranging and impactful genres of voiceover.
